I basically just need a pair of shoes that has good support that lasts and doesn't look like shit. I'm constantly managing and testing water reservoirs, walking across a large facility, and handling dripping pieces of equipment. Waterproofing isnt a must so I'd settle for something that just does the job and looks good.

I bought some 2nd hand one and they were in good condition - a few scrapes on the leather here and there but nothing ridiculous. the insole was very worn out but you'd have to replace that anyway because it's squeaky as fuck (unwearable without different insoles i'm not exaggerating)

They look cheap man. Leather itself looks like it would look beaten to hell after a couple of wears, and not a fan of a natural leather sole/heel stack on an otherwise fully blacked out boot.

Truth be told, most combat boots have a fairly similar toe profile. Just look for ones with thinner soles, which is the main differentiator.

Recently got my first pair of boots and I need advice on oil. I know mink oil is the preferred oil to use, but I've heard mink oil can smell quite foul to some people. I'm not opposed to using mink oil, but I've read that macadamia nut oil and sea buckthorn oil have the same or greater amount of palmitoleic acid, which is what mink oil is valued for.
Am I fine to use either of these oils in place of or should I just get mink oil?

Something something meme boots, where can I cop something similar to black 1460 Mono Docs without the ridiculously shiny/glossy look like pic related? I've heard they have matte variations of the normal 1460s, but they don't have any option like that for the mono ones.
