general context: were both nyc born and raised, im third gen russian immigrant, he's white as wonderbread.

we were best friends in highschool, he was a class above me. we met in a co-grade art class, freshman and sophomore. I was in love with him through all this, he was straight, I had no qualms though he was still the best friend i could ask for. He was mostly into skateboarding, I was art and music but we found plenty of overlap. Eventually he goes off to college in boston, I stay in ny. Not much contact besides emails everyonce in a while.

once he graduates he moves back to nyc to be with family and go though grad school in the city. we make a point to reconnect and things are good. one night we were drunk and stoned and watching movies and I make some sly moves and he responds to them. i'm not really sure what happened from that, but it seemed like something sort of clicked and he realized i was an option. maybe we had always been basically dating, or something like that. pretty much immediately after that we started a romantic relationship. once i graduated we moved in together. a year or so from that point, hes halfway through grad school, I've begun teaching high school art, he proposes. since then we've been married and perfectly happy and i guess a pretty cute couple! if anyone wants to know anything else shoot
