He's a fantastic footwear designer but the construction is noticeably poor. He works the leather in ways that look really cool but it's not durable. Tornadoes are sick but zippers really don't like to be curved and so they break much faster than the rest of the boot and they're hard to replace. I've also seen the leather on some derbies and sneakers just tear, possibly because of all the crazy treatments he uses that weaken the structure.

the current louisw is so-so. the material's great and overall much more sustainable than a lot of the season/capsule garments (particularly the outerwear) but it was so uninspired this time around. i understand it was a "sport" homage and jeant. is head over heels with the concept at the moment but the s/s collection lacked in everything aside from quality, which is the brand's initial purpose in the first place so i guess there's nothing wrong w it. we have two new season knits that i personally love right now. the neck on em is sort of similar to the base of a heavy cashmere rollneck. those and the permanent derbies are my favorite right now. and yeah it's really laid back, they look for very specific people, funny enough if you visit any boutique all of the sales associates have really similar tone and mannerisms, it's cross cultural too lol. just make sure to have experience beforehand.

I've got a question about shoes. Past few years, I've been wearing a size 14 shoe. Great shoe, but it's kind of worn out now so I wanted to get another. The website I buy from was out of size 14, but had size 15. I'm not sure if it's safe for me to buy it or not. Should I?

Also, when I measured my foot to size it, it came out to a size 10. Every website I go to seems to agree that for my foot length, I should be wearing a size 10, but that's way, way smaller than the comfy size 14 I've been wearing. So, what the fuck?

It depends on the shoe. Some run a little small, so it's not a big deal. If you get a shoe that's too big you're not going to be able to get it tight enough without deforming the shoe. I'm pretty serious about footwear since I had plantar fasciitis for two years.

Really wouldn't recommend the Tubular Invader strap. So uncomfortable, sole is stiff as a motherfucker and the fit is pretty narrow.
