this, designer stuff won't look great unless u kno how to pull it off anyways
thrift a lot
shop at uniqlo for basics
take lots of inspo from the threads here n sufu, find what looks good and put your money towards things when you know what you want
that being said skater/slacker core things are usually quite cheap, easy look to go for
>dickies
>socks to match
>low vans
>loose fit t-shirts
/fa/ will make fun of you but itll b ok probs unless u suck

also, be patient while thrifiting. I'm very skinny (sz 26 or 27 pants) and i rarely find stuff that fits well. But when I do, its dope. Great for sweaters n shirts imo
don't buy fakes u'll look like a fashion victim
if you need clothing fast and can't wait for stuff to come around the thrift shop, its totes ok to go to cheaper mall-tier brands like H&M/gap - just make sure things fit well; in reality, most people can't tell quality from antyhgin other than fit.
other good tip - buy clothes that serve both casual and formal wear. get some good oxford shirts (uniqlo is good) and some leather dress shoes (clearance sale at a department store) even if you don't really go for that sort of style day to day. as your style develops, you can integrate them alone or together and really build off of it while having a wardrobe fit for job interviews/career fairs
buy amphetamines in bulk - much cheaper than adderall, dissolve known weight in water and divide by volume to avoid having to weigh out tiny amounts every time
OP, what major are you going for?
