I personally dislike zug grain and that level of brogue on anything. People do jerk around red wing a lot, but I think some of their offerings like the harvester or the new merchant are pretty nice

I've been longing for those for almost 7 years now... they wouldn't match to anything in my closet though. I just happened to get my Red Wing Chukkas back from the repair service and they're looking brand new. This is remarkable, taken into account I've been wearing them periodically for over 5 years now. It happens probably that by getting older, reliability is becoming more of an issue. I'll probably stick to some German hunting/trekking boots though...
