Thoughts?
They're not inherently bad but they really really need to be subtle.
I used to dress somewhat androgynously (I still do like it, and I'm a tallish rail-thin twink so I think I can pull it off pretty well) but recently it's really starting to feel like masculinity is dying and/or becoming taboo (especially in the bay area, where I live) so I've been intentionally getting more masculine in my clothing. Combat boots, milsurp, sweaters that remind me of salty sailors, foreign policewear, things like that.
I don't think masculinity is superior to femininity or androgyny but I don't want to roll over and let it get neutered out of me. If I can fight back against the shift at least a little bit, I'm happy.

Do you unload boxes at the local coop and ride a fixie bike to work every day?
>>12302129
Jesus no, I want to distance myself from that shit as much as I can
SF doesn't make it easy to live un-neutered but I'm moving to Olympia, Washington soon and living pseudo-innawoods
arguably all modes of expression are political (or at least contain a political dimension) so it's probably not something you can ever truly avoid, but trendy, blatant sloganeering just reeks of topical virtue signalling. something like >>12302117 is a smarter, more aesthetically pleasing way of making a sociopolitical statement than "VOTE FOR X" or "SUPPORT Y" emblazoned on a t-shirt.

And just to say something, I agree with Rosenrot with that just labeling or calling something 'feminist', 'exclusive' or 'empowering' is total fucking bullshit, the intention might be good but how about actually thinking what those words even mean and incorporating that in to your design instead.

I wear designers
I voted trump, I own guns, I don't care about Kanye west or Rhianna and I think any brand catering to Beyonce is just trying to cash in on a failing house.

Who are your designers, brother?

I live in europe and yesterday I saw for the first time someone with a maga cap. And guess fucking what. He it was a pasty ass sweaty fat teen that looked like he played magic religiously.
Dont wear a maga cap, for fucks sake.
I own this shirt and wear it casually. I don't want anything to do with the sort of person who'd be triggered by it. Ignorance is #notmyaesthetic
