I'm a short time luker, and never posted here.
I'm a 22 years old broke student, looking to get a more mature look.
I recently bought a Zara trench coat (pic related), but I have no idea what to pick as a pair of pants and shoes.
Any ideas?
burn the coat

You don't like it?

I honestly can't tell unless you post a picture of yourself wearing it (a model photo isnt really going to cut it)
but making some basic assumptions here:
it matches nothing in your wardrobe
you will look like a twat
don't buy meme shit from zara again
so do you also have a collection of katanas and fedoras?

Got two chinos, one red and one navy blue.
I don't get how wearing a trenchcoat makes one look like a twat.

Stop memeing.

unless it is a absolute classic well cut trench(unlike this one) from high end retailer you will look try hard
kinda have to be confident with these because they say i at least want to be a corpo drone on his way to another fucking meeting
and you should really consider burning red chinos or being gay
not that hard to pair tho just dont wear shorts or basketball shoes or stupid risky shit like red chinos
Wear it with a shirt and trousers and leather shoes.
Anything else will make you look like a numale
Cropped slim (Or normal fit. Whichever you like) twill trousers would work as pants. Pretty much any color you like, that tone of beige works with a lot of natural colors. If you want jeans, probably slim or skinny fit dark grey or black would work. Say a pair of Levi's 510/511. For shoes, I'd recommend black oxfords, the Dr. Martens 1461 Mono, or Converse Chuck Taylor high, preferably black or all black.
There's definitely some other pants and shoes that could work with it. Maybe the adidas Superstar cuffed trackpants or adidas Common Projects. Look at lookbooks with trenchcoats as well. You'll probably find some good references there. :)
