Depends. It's a cliche sentiment and I know, but really just isn't so great on white people while being good on blacks. I seriously have never seen a white person of either sex who wouldn't have looked better with plain, well-groomed long hair.

Honestly I feel the same way. Part of it though is that white people with dreads tend to have a terrible, terrible sense of fashion. Whether it be 90s goth with a ton of piercings, super gaudy rave fashion, or surfer dude with a chinstrap beard, gauges, khaki cargo shorts, flip flops, and a tank top.

Actually yes dreadlocks are just hair that has been "locked" which is also what happens to get matted hair. Sure the dreadlocks people normally have a usually neater, but matted hair still counts.
