For the upcoming spring/summer seasons i am planning on going for the business casual/office look, i need to restock my wardrobe with some quality high-end shirts.
>Which cotton type should be considered for a good dress shirt?
Ive read that egyptian cotton and Supima (U.S) cotton are the best types of cotton out there
>How many shirts should one have and how to rotate them?
How many shirts do you think a man should have and how often should you change/wash them?
>What are some good brands which offer quality shirts?
Ive heard good things about Brooks Brothers since they offer a variety of Supima shirts. What are some other respectable brands?
bumping with /fa/ animals
Still waiting on opinions

Just get the quality ones, like Eton, Hugo boss, Armani etc. Decent Italian craft like Mazzarelli, Fay etc

uniqlo airism vneck undershirts are a godsend.
also don't forget to put stain remover on collars and pits if you see staining before you toss in the washer.
wouldn't hurt to get some laundry bags too

What kind of material should i be looking out for? Supima cotton seems to be one of the top fabrics out there

Are undershirts a necessity when wearing dress shirts?
What are the benefits of using laundry bags for shirts?

>How many shirts should one have and how to rotate them?
Depends. If this is your entire look and you go for nothing else, however many tops people would normally have is the same number of shirts you should have except they are all dress shirts. Otherwise, 3-4 should be fine.
>What are some good brands which offer quality shirts?
Maybe Kenneth Cole. There are tons of brands out there and I have seen them, but they put out ugly (to me) shirts. What designs do you like?
Patrik Ervell has the best cut of shirts imo

undershirts keep you from dirtying your dress shirt and hide your nips/skin from showing through. also helps with distributing/drying sweat.
make sure you get them in gray or your skin color , not white.
laundry bags protect your shirts from getting damaged when you're washing. (protects them from other sharp clothes, zippers, buttons, etc..)
Appreciating the replies, bumping once again
Is french cuff acceptable nowadays? Seems a good way to wear some jewellery. Is it appropriate for a casual look?

I am in your same situation OP. I want to get a light blue and off white oxford since they are versatile and I am just building my wardrobe. UNIQLO has great shirts but they are always out of stock in my size.
I'm looking for a cloth that isn't too hot (I live in Florida) but a cloth that won't let my nips bleed through

Honestly, Land's End tailor fit Supima dress shirts are pretty nice. I have them in a pinpoint oxford and they look very nice.
