It should be gray or navy, fit well, and cost around $400.
Suits are simple. Dress to your build and go with a more modern cut if you're younger. (Slimmer lapels, arm openings, and a more aggressive drop.)

Opinions on buying a suit online? If I buy online I can buy from their clearance section which about 40% off. I roughly know my measurements (I measured myself) so how bad could it be?

who's clearance section? is there free returns?

dunno if it's haram here but express has stretch fabric slim suits for about 360 after their 15% off coupon. Provided you know your measurements or there is a store near you, that could be a good starting point.
don't buy some cheap online made to measure crap.
go to a good menswear store with an in house tailor and tell them you want a suit. they will fiddle your crotch, measure you and hook you up.
