Out of curiosity: does anyone come here to get to a normal weight rather than thinspo? I'm 5'3, large frame and currently 134. My goal is to get down to 120 and probably maintain. I come here for motivation and it's been a huge help. Not knocking thinspo cause I love the aesthetic and find them very attractive, but if I were to get that small I would probably look gross (due to frame size unfortunately).

I don't want to be rude, but that you can't fast for more than 10 hours doesn't mean nobody can. I f you want to try IF, start with a week of eating low carb/high fat and then do 20:4 IF (or 16:8).
I'm not saying you won't get hungry, believe me, you WILL, but that's what fast is about, you have to resist, anon, try to get some control. I get hungry after the first 14 hours of fast but it doesn't mean I'll go straight to my fridge to get something to shove down my throat.

Rate my weight loss method. You might find it funny.

I basically do "calorie cycling"

I will eat 900 calories one day - so like a pack of Tim Tams or Red Rock Deli chips

Then the next day I'll eat at maintainence - 2500 cals

Then maybe 900 again the next day

And I just continue this depending on what I feel like, e.g. I might do 2500, 2500, 900, 900, 900, 900, 2500, 2500 just depends on how motivated I'm feeling

I also feel like eating at maintenance will "reset" your hunger patterns... It's good for staying sane

I was 80kg in Oct 2016 now its Feb 2017and I'm 71kg (male)

Also cup o soup is very low calorie often (not much nutrition though) and miso soup is great too. You can even cook up shiritaki noodles in it for a huge low calorie snack

you can try to do IF to see if that fixes it by making you not so insulin sensitive, but I don't think there are really any studies that have been done to see if someone does IF after losing weight if that actually repairs their metabolism.

So I'm getting more serious about this LCHF diet, which I'm thrilled encourages me to eat more eggs. I happen to love eggs. Unfortunately, though, now that I'm trying to cut out carbs, no bread means I don't have anything to mop up my eggy yolks when I eat eggs over-easy.

I think part of it is that severe intake restriction or purging can cause delayed gastric emptying.
It happened to me and it really sucks- makes you feel way too full after meals (terrible when you're expected to eat huge amounts six+ times a day anyway).
It's like your digestive system has adapted to low intake and you're overloading it. Which causes lots and lots of issues! yay

I explained this on /fit/ the other day :^) There can be many reasons but the main one tends to be that eating too little, your body stops digesting so much to conserve energy, but because you still eat little you don't really notice much difference in how much your stomach holds. However when you start eating normally again your intestines don't really know what to do with all that food so it just sits around for a bit until your body relearns how to process it/trusts you enough to digest it

some of that might be pseudoscience or oversimplified but it's something like that

five days is fine, I would say around two weeks is a comfortable length for a fast. The first three days are what kills you in a fast, so only doing it for five days is a bit of a waste.
