Mostly I try to look fashionable and professional. I try to balance those. I'm not sure what goes through peoples heads when they see me, but I hope it helps people at work take me more seriously and women know that I take care of myself.

I use clothes simply as a means to feel confident. I've had debilitatingly bad self-esteem for years and barely had any friends during that time. That is, until I started putting more focus on my appearance (which happened in correlation with starting my university studies, where a proper dress code suddenly became something important).

Turns out that an embedded feeling of perpetual self-consciousness was the root of it all and that I don't even have assburgers or whatever like I suspected for quite some time. I just felt uncomfortable as fuck in any social situation because I always thought people perceived me negatively, instantly upon seeing me.

So yeah, with the help of clothing, I simply want others to perceive me as someone confident.
