Honestly, it looks pretty decent for a student already. Just keep all the white shit clean, and get some nice sheet sets for your bed.

I'd get plants - one or two large ones for the floor, and smaller pots to place around - but I know not everyone likes them so idk.

I wouldn't even bother with an area rug, since they're kinda shit to deal with frequent moving.

Switch that little tree picture to something large and impactful that you like.

too much white makes everything look sterile
needs a bit more color to give warmth

could either change the floor color or make an accent wall or ceiling

you gotta do something to make the room feel less massive at night

I'd also like to see more floor lambs for warmer lighting

the addition of another chair at the other end of the coffee table would contribute a lot toward an intimate gathering space in an otherwise cavernous room

It is of course not quite as enormous as it looks, because of the way the photo is put together. The whole room is roughly 40 m2 (which I guess is about 400 ft2).

I agree on the chair. All in all I'm not really sure about the whole sofa corner thing, it feels a bit weird to have the sofa and table off to the side, with the rug next to it rather than underneath. At the same time, I like having the sofa facing the plants and that window, the view is sort of nice. I've been thinking about moving the sofa out from the wall, but I'd end up with a weird empty space behind it.

The floor is very cold in appearance, but I'm not allowed to do anything about it. Pendant lamp is a brilliant idea though, don't know why I didn't think of that before. Hopefully I'll be back in the next interior thread with a lamp.
