Fair point on being busy, then again, they offer a lot of adjustability for the fitting, depending on whether you tuck or blouse your pants (adjust the laces).
Otherwise, the zipper is a nicely fast and comfy way to get in and out of them.

Are Red Wings worth it? They're like $100+ more than similar quality boots. They looks so nice but I'm a poor-ish fag, so I'm not sure if I should shell out the cash. I could definitely use a pair of good quality boots that will last a long time.

I'm looking for some cheap(ish) 8-inch leather boots. Are Doc Martens 1460s an alright purchase? I want something that can deal with the light snow we're getting in Seattle, but I don't want actual snow-boots. I was really banking on it not snowing this year but now I'm screwed because I've only got pairs of sneakers and leather shows.

As an aside, does anyone know how their Chelsea boots are? It's hard for me to find decent men's Chelsea's that aren't way above my price-range.

Depends on what you expect to get for your money, honestly. Asian-made DMs nowadays end up losing the heel of the sole within 6 months, and don't be surprised if the the sole around the balls go, too. They tend to slip in snow/ice, too. I haven't personally experienced anything other than those issues. You can probably do better if you look around, in all honesty.

Those are Rangers from EMP right? I was also thinking of copping a pair, they seem to get dope reviews due to their durability, plus i already have huge calves and the steel-toes seem like a decent addition.
