Depends on the style of boot you like. Combat style boots seem to be in style and I have some 8" black leather work boots I like the look of that are OSHA/PPE approved

If you find a pair you like and they work get them. Slip resistant work shoes can be butt ugly but who cares because they are work shoes and it's a part of the uniform. As much as I like my work boots I don't use them outside of work
