I'm currently on a cut, lost 30 lbs so far, been mainly lurking. I want to take advantage of the American Apparel sale for basics like shirts, but I don't know what size I should buy. I'm currently 5'8" 160 lbs, but that's not really relevant. What size should I buy? I currently seem to fit decently in Medium shirts, should I aim for Small or XS? If I bulk up a little from my ideal weight, should that affect the size I buy?

Thanks in advance, /fa/. Also, general AA thread I guess

AmAp are small for their sizes I believe. I'm L for most shirts (6ft2, 170lbs) but i'm wearing a XL ringer tee right now and it fits perfectly desu

I'm 5'8" 145 and I wear Mediums from there. I plan to bulk up lot but they're pretty versatile. I would just get medium. What were you thinking of getting? I'm going to try to get a lot of stuff from them since I've always liked and everything's on sale now

Huh, that's interesting to note, thanks for that

Thanks so much for this, sounds I like I should just get medium. I might grab a few smalls for the hell of it, if they're cheap enough

I was thinking of shirts/sweatshirts, since that's what people seem to go for (it's also listed as AA's pros under that mall guide infographic) If there's anything particular I like, I'll probably pick it up as well

Long shot but didn't anyone near DC get a medium of the California fleece joggers and it's too short? I got the large and it's too long. Seeing if a trade is possible.

To answer the earlier people. Pants are a problem if you bulk up, tops are usually ok. Unless you're really fat, tops are usually a question of shoulder width which wont change much. I've done a 40lb bulk before and my tops mostly still fit.

I'm 5'9" 130 lbs, their small fits me perfectly

If you get their power wash tees get smalls, I'm the same w/h as you. I've gotten their medium before and they run larger. Bought 4 smalls all fit nicely.

cool. I like that store. they were a bit expensive but that's mostly because of their labor practices. I'm sad that they're going but capitalism ruins everything lol
