i can't tell you exactly when they changed, but i use to buy some every year and stopped a few years back after they did something different with them. They are lower quality now, fit worse, and look worse. I have a pair remaining from like 6 years ago and it's still amazing quality, fit, no material degradation, genuinely surprised they have lasted
