Where do you live? I live in NYC and have been told that I should model (or people asking me why not when I tell them I don't). I've only been scouted on the street once and I kept walking because I was late to meet a friend. I know that there are more scouts out now because nyfw is next month, what can I do to catch their eyes?

i'm 6'5 and have been scouted 3 times, once for an agency (which i now work with), once by some Welsh luxury clothing brand lol, and lastly by a scout who was doing a Topman campaign shot by Gosha Rubshinsky (can't spell his name)

How do you go about this tho? Like I'm regularly told I look like a model. Like have long hair & somewhat androgynous look, so I feel this is attractive to agencies?
I'm only 5'9/5'10 with shoes tho. If you have any advice on how to into modeling for manlets I'm love it

Got scouted in Toronto, signed a 2 year contract. Was offered a $1k shoot before I had even left the agency which I had to decline because it fell on an exam day. I have 4 photoshoots this weekend, I'm very excited. Massive confidence boost, any time I tell a qt-art-type I see their eyes light up. Hopefully I can make a lot of money off of this because I don't want to work a real job until I'm at least 25, 20 now.

i haven't done new york fashion week, no point telling you the stories i've heard as they'll be no better than anything else posted here, they're mostly the same ie your agency emails you shit loads of locations of places usually doing open castings, if you've done stuff before you'll probably get a few requests which are agencies asking to see you personally, though this doesn't increase chances of you actually making the show lol, i asked about which city because the geography makes the experience different, ie: paris is much smaller and you can walk a lot of it in the summer, so it's like there's hundreds of male models walking to the same places in the summer, kind of funny, you bump into your friends alot, walk with them, stop and eat with them so if you have friends which you like talking to it's great, some people take it so seriously though and just rush and queue all day desperate to get a show lol, pay is usually no more than 1000 euros, depends where the show is, pounds used to be better than euro, but sometimes big labels like to take brand new guys and they'll get good money upwards of 1000 euros, i think i got 1600 for my first ysl show, but i got thrown under the bus by my agency and some random french agency i wasn't signed to so lost 50%, so what you agree to be paid, and what you receive are two different things, sometimes you'll agree to be paid less than 1000 and get cut 25 or 50% in which case the money is less fabulous than you think in places like paris where you prostitute your wallet

lots of cool things to do in paris, clubbing isn't one of them, the city is expensive as fuck if you've been before so try be smart, there's no real night life so just enjoy the city, get into architecture and history and you'll enjoy the small things in the city, things on every avenue

they modified my jeans because i'm a 36" inseam so they dont make jeans in my length normally, i still have them. they modified a few things, i wore a cape and they had it attached to the suit jacket i was wearing underneath, but they also have the clothes in any size they want, so they can either get my exact size or tailor it, whichever is easiest
