Does anyone have any experience with orders from ASOS being sent from DHL in Germany?

I had one that I ordered in mid-November that only arrived yesterday when ASOS guarantees a 5-day delivery. Took around 2 months instead of 5 days. I was pissed off this whole time about it but I sort of brushed it off because I assumed they had a lot of work during the holiday season and that's why the delay happened. However, I ordered something else on Monday, 2th of January that was supposed to get here this Monday and according to the DHL tracking website it hasn't even left Germany. I live in mainland Europe so their deliveries are made by land, but it's a 20h drive from there...what the fuck is this shit? ASOS takes no responsability and just gave me a 10% coupon like the cheap fuckers they are and DHL tells me that it's ASOS fault for giving me a deadline because apparently they "don't do deadlines".

Any other experiences? All my previous orders from ASOS came from their UK warehouses and got here in a couple of days. These just happened to be in Germany for some reason.

Not sure about Asos specifically but my experience is similar to your; UK postal services are excellent, Germany OK, France I believe must deliver horseback given the time stuff takes from there

Dude it takes forever to get my orders from ASOS and twice it never came

I ordered from their UK, GE and SP site as well, because they use different prices and often it's cheaper if you order from anywhere but their UK site, at least if you live in EU.

I'm a frequent buyer of theirs. I had no issues so far, the longest delivery lasted maybe 2 weeks. It's free, so i won't complain. The delivery date they give you is an estimate. I had packages which arrived a week earlier than that, but i had packages which arrived later, not too much later, a few days at most.

In most EU countries, if you opt for free delivery, it's not DHL, who does the final delivery, but your domestic postal service. DHL only ships the packages out from Germany to your country, where the domestic postal service takes over, so it's not always DHL's fault, if you don't get every package in time.

Last time i ordered a package right before Christmas (from GE) and another one on the last day of Christmas (from SP). Both had an estimated delivery date for the past week, strangely the one i ordered later had the earlier date, when i'm even located closer to Germany. Both were delivered last week, the one from Germany 2 days before deadline, the one from Spain 2 days after deadline.

On the other hand, i read an article that the online orders drastically increased throughout the year, generally. Black Friday only made it worse, the courier companies couldn't always handle the load and took them longer to deliver certain percentage. Then Christmas came, another rush in orders and there were people who still didn't get their stuff what they ordered on Black Friday. Namely DPD said that they had issues with delivering on time. My local postal service didn't admit it, but they were also fighting with the clock in many cases.

This time of the year (from Black Friday to Christmas) is always busy, if you want on time delivery, you have a better chance, if you order excluding this interval or if you order with expedited shipping, where there's a deadline for the courier company.

Happened the same thing to me. I made an order which would need 5 days to be delivered and it took 3 and a half weeks to get here.

Once I've ordered some suit pants and got a skinny jeans two numbers bigger delivered a month later. Another order went just fine.
