I got a free American Trench beanie cuz I know one of the owners from Instagram. The knitting is pretty tight and they make them in a variety of colors
Last year the guys from Tracksmith sent me a free beanie, and it's not as tight knit (made in China) but it's warmer and cheaper
I currently use am SNS Herning beanie daily, it's warm and tight knit and made was in Denmark, price is high though, if you can find one for sale.

Considering you're probably underage, just get a Burton beanie. They're cheap, available in a variety of colors, and you don't need to get bogged down in the details that differentiate a 20 dollar hat from a 120 dollar hat
If you want quality and don't care about price, haven just marked a bunch of shit down 40% to make room for spring/summer gear, so check there
