Please. Somebody tell me what is wrong with my hair.
Since about six months ago, it has started lookin relaxed, even though I used no relaxer.
Before it looked like a normal kinky haired short fro.
Now it looks weird, I can pat it down, my hair is able to be slicked back, and I'm unable to get it to hold no matter which pomade I use.
I switched all my products and even went a span without them to no avail.

It's not part of the process. I am in the process of getting dreads which is probably different from what you want (or maybe not!) but part of getting those curls is letting the natural self curling (locking) process of black hair take its place. You should only wash once a week because if you wash your hair (especially with hot water) the hair will just relax and you'll be at square one every day. Only wash when you see dandruff in your hair or if your hair feels like an ant bed. Keep your head up! It is a long process but definitely rewarding. You look like you're doing a great job so far.

Mulatto here. My hair texture is kind of weird. It's mostly black, but when I stop combing my hair they don't exactly turn into dreads. My hair forms into defined and thick separate spirals. My hair is also pretty long now. Like three fourth as long as the fag above me right now.
I want my hair to hang more, so what can I do for that? What products to use?

Start by picking out into an afro, then do two strand twists and wash your hair only when you need too. Depending on how fast your hair grows and what type of hair you have, your hair might lock up quickly or it might take a while to lock. Either way, make sure that when you do wash it, you don't try to clean the starting twists themselves because they will relax in water and you'll be starting over a lot. When you do wash your hair, twist the hair that is resting on your scalp into the twists. Don't use beeswax. It clumps and your hair will look nasty and have a lot of dirt in it.
