What's /fa/'s opinion on old timey aesthetics and traditional wear?

My big bro (pic related, censored) is all about that shit. I am too, to a lesser extent. Less old time, more just sort of classical styling. Y'know, jeans and slacks, button-down shirts, "classic fit" (as opposed to loose or tight).
It just suits us.

Yeah I get you, would you say your fashion reflects your world view/life style in being a traditionally masculine man because that's what I'm aiming for.

I think mostly it's that it fits my body style more. I'm a bit on the portly side, and I see people my shape wearing styles like slim fit shirts, skinny jeans, or baggy clothes and they just look silly. The classic fit suits me well. Also, while I may by a big man, I have a pretty decent body shape. Broad shoulders, medium waist, etc. and the fit accentuates that. The masculine features of the style also go well for me.

How did he tie his scarf like that?
>>12102964
Should he not? There's more than one way to wear a scarf.
It's honestly the best way to dress to look masculine, mature, and professional

>timeless/classic/formal wear
it's just comfy as fuck man
Maybe it's because I don't spend thousands on flamboyant casual bullshit made by designer labels, but nothing comes close to the comfort of a properly fitted or tailored wool coat, for instance.
My PF Flyers make me want to kill myself after wearing them all day, but I could sleep in a pair of Derby's or Oxfords.
>timeless clothes
ahahahahaha

The same way you would tie a tie.

I used to dress like this ever day but it's simply too much. The clothing is comfortable but in a silk pajama and slippers kind of way. You're not gonna kneel down and try to fix a flat on your bike while wearing dressy wool pants. You probably won't even ride a bike. My point being you're extremely limited and after awhile you begin to feel the clothes are wearing you instead of the other way around. Not worth it.
