You honestly have to just keep checking your local thrift stores. In my experience, the shops that claim to be church-related tend to have stuff like this more, since it seems like a lot of their stuff comes from old people.

That's a very nice looking coat. Side question: does anyone know how to get a cotton blend fabric to have that kind of toughness or stiffness to it? Has that coat been treated with Scotchguard or something? Or is it perhaps just dirty? The reason I ask is, some old coats have that quality to them, whereas new coats NEVER do, even when it's the exact same fabric blend.

Nobody knows how to replicate the old crusty toughness like that Mackinaw has in a new jacket? I've never used Scotchguard or Nikwax, but that's all I can think of.
