More like best bang for your buck. At $35-$40 a gallon for quality paint, it's prob. one of the least expensive things you can do to change the atmosphere/ambiance of an entire space.

But anything other than white paint is tacky and limiting anyway. Lighting doesn't work as well with darker paint. And sunlight is wasted.

Quality paint is completely worthless if your applying skill isn't on par with a professional painter.
