While I think their male line has suffered quite a bit the last years, I still think their female line is quite effay. (Especially since their coorporate restructure ~2012)
Historically they always had a history of inconsistent QC, but good pieces do last quite a while in my experience.

Unremarkable, overpriced, inconsistent / bad quality
Although i want to go back to pre-2012 AllSaints (more experimental/grunge), their fem line seems quite ok still.

Yes. Don't buy at retail/look at IRL

and?
Work at an all Saints outlet, and pretty much everyone hit it on the nail: bad quality, huge makeup, uninspiring design, inconsistent.
Just a few days ago I was marking down 450$ items to 60$ (not including the 50% off going on now)

my shoes from there are made in Portugal. Otherwise there shit

Honestly, they're stylistically on point, and their shirts are good quality, but it could be so much better. For example, their denim is garbage. Every pair of denim I have from them has blown out at the crotch.
I'd like to see them focus more on quality control, use nicer material, with more skilled workers. Then I'd pay what they charge at retail. I'm lucky enough to get stuff for way cheap at the outlet near me.
their prices seem to be almost around sandro prices, and sandro is honestly much better

>Their denim is shit
I am inclined to agree. Although non have blown out on me, I their colours are bad quality and wash out too easily.
I tend to buy them because their fit tends to go well with me (esp. Cigarette).
>Shirts good
Flimsy but comfy.
I'd like to add that their knitwear is quite good in my experience (never worth retail) but quite warm and decently made.

>overpriced
Not really compared to its competitors. Most of their shit is night and day better than Zara-tier brands, but far cheaper than APC / Sandro / Our Legacy tier.
There's no point buying anything at retail because their sales are so deep and reliable, but I actually don't know of any "better" brands at the same price or lower, so even at retail they're not really overpriced.
They're good for picking up slightly-less-basic basics (patterned shirts, flannels, suede jackets). On sale, their price/quality ratio is very good.
But they basically just put out minor remixes the of same collection again and again, so once you've got a few pieces they get stale very quickly.
That said, their womenswear is consistently vastly more interesting than their menswear.

I think the make problem with AllSaints is that their staleness came mainly after their restructuring. Before that their designs were more 'avant-garde' and thus more worth the price.
But now i am hard pressed to find pieces which truely stand out in their collection.

Your point being?
The place is of make CAN be an indicator of quality, but this relation is less and less causal. If a company wants to pay for high quality in China, they will get it.

i love all saints, especially their cigarette fit jeans

Same.
Anyone got similar fit alternatives?
