wanted a Volca soooo bad then realized there's no room for improvement and it's more of a toy than an actual synth.

Microkorg and a drum machine can get you so much farther in terms of variety and uasablitiy, but Volcas make such beautiful sounds for really cheap.

Also modular synths are really lovely.

I've always thought piano is the most effay instrument.

But then, I'm a pianist. And a penis, as well.

I've said this in a previous similar thread, but most fashionable instruments are piano and classic vocals, but both of those are nowhere near as fashionable as music composition. And I'm not talking about your shitty highschool kid with a guitar kind of composition here.

If we're talking about what will garner the most attention from your average normalfag, it would be the acoustic guitar and average vocals combo.
