They're pretty shit as far as ties go. I mean, there are a lot of shitty ties out there, but when Drakes et al. constantly has sales, why would you buy a shitty tie?

My dad owns a few. He pointed it out during the campaign that he had never really thought about it before.

I would say they're pretty low on the tie totem pole. They're in-line with standard cheap department store ties.

If you need a tie for something and you aren't the kind of person to wear ties daily, just go to a thrift store. no one buys thrift store ties so there are usually hundreds or even thousands at modestly sized thrift stores. Most ties don't really show wear.

Just check over them for stains and other obvious blemishes. Use common sense, and you can get 10 cheap shitty blobs of silk for the same cost as one donald trump tie or whatever else your local department store sources from Chinese slaves.

Also hold the tie where it goes from wide to narrow and see if it spins when you hold it. Ties that are cut nicely won't spin while uneven ties will tend to spin a little.
