Like it or not, Hedi established an aspirational look for a lot of people. Not groundbreaking, but the right recycling and recontexualizing at the right time. Most people just want to look cool, and his runway models looked fucking cool. Vaca needs to actually show some fucking menswear before I decided if I'm still interested or not.

Look at the guys wiki. Hes been head designer of Fendi for 50 fucking years and of Chanel for 33. No way in hell are they gonna kick him out or make him retire. The only way this guy leaves either brand is by being close to dying. The respect both of these brands must have for him is off the fucking charts. Having someone define your image for half a fucking century, like what? Is that something that ever happened before (assuming the person doesnt own the company, founded it or is part of the founding family, like Paul Smith, Prada etc.)?

honestly would love to just talk music with him before anything else

also, I highly doubt hedi will return to the fashion biz anytime soon. with the fat lawsuit cheque he just got and him openly stating that he wants to just do photography for the time being he'll probably do atleast a couple of photography projects.
