I've tried tanning since I live by the sea but I can't stand for more than 5 minutes under the sun or I'll become red as a lobster. should I try and go in a tanning salon?

The good thing about being male is that we don't have to look perfect. Men age much better than women 90% of the time because we aren't expected to have perfect soft skin and all that. Just embrace the paleness and imperfections or whatever is making you so self-conscious. Eat healthier and get some sunlight in moderation without deliberately tanning. Get some exercise. Just try to stay generally healthy and you'll be fine.

This. All I use is a BB Cream close to my skin color to blend red blotchy patches (happens frequently when I shower or drink) and a brown eyebrow liner to shape slighty. One thing you need to remember though (especially with makeup) is to always keep your skin clean so use a face wash every 2nd/3rd day and ALWAYS wipe off any makeup with baby wipes. Nothing worse then leaving a splat on a bed pillow.
