the near entirety of the 90s and 2000s were heavily inspired by the 70s.

>>11936298
new trends and styles are being created all the time. I don't see what's wrong with integrating some elements of past fashion into your style
>>11936293
why did you find it necessary to tag every photo in the thread? also labeling someone as a hippie as a way to end the discussion is shit. learn how to criticize retard

70s style is only passable on females but even them it makes them too girly lnot womanly like as in pedo approved, in men it looks absoltuly horrendeous
>>11936299
this is more of a 1985 style, far from 70s. look at the sneakers.

sauce? is this a movie
>>11936580
Yeah, it's on swedish though, named "Himlen är oskyldigt blå", which means the sky is innocently blue and it's after a popular swedish song. It's a good movie, with some small flaws, I liked the mood and it was a bit nostalgic for me because of the summers I've spent in the swedish archipelago. It's about a boy getting work on a prestigious restaurant on an island during the summer, and he gets involved in drug stuff. Top notch 70s clothes in it
>>11936601
>>11936580
It's on netflix btw, at least here in sweden
>>11936165
With the exception of the '77 punk aesthetic the 70's are the absolute worst for fashion.

>>11936685
the 80s has some pretty ugly shit throughout in my opinion. maybe that is just me overgeneralizing, but when I think of or see 80s fashion it's rarely anything I would wear irl.
and I disagree with the notion that you can't compare decades in terms of fashion. there are usually general trends and unless you're a complete autist I don't see the problem. but maybe there is nuance that I didn't count enough for with my earlier statement. you definitely can't discount an entire decade.
>>11936697
yeah ive had that thought too before looks really similar here lmao
>>11936701
>the 80s has some pretty ugly shit throughout in my opinion
just like every other single fucking decade.
you realize people in the 2030's will probably look back at the 2010's and cringe at all the shitty trends that happened, man-buns, vaporwave shit, kanyecore, etc? but not even realize that the majority of people weren't involved in that flashy garishy shit?
>overgeneralizing, but when I think of or see 80s fashion...
and what makes you think decades are fucking clear cut in 10's? like on december 1949 everyone just suddenty changed their styles all at once? do you not realize that the fashion of 1987 is closer to the fashion of 1993 than it is to 1980?
basically I can tell you're underage because if you lived long enough to remember more than one or maybe two decades, you'd realize that the majority of common fashion has BARELY changed since the 1950s and 60s, and that you're probably basing your assumptions off of what you've seen in movies and shit.
>>11936741
I don't think decades are clear cut in 10s. I even said that my original statement didn't account for a enough nuance.
when I said "worse than the 80s?" it was just me trying to say that IF you were to compare decades (only because that was what that guy was doing to begin with), it seems odd to call the 70s "worse" than the 80s in terms of fashion. I am going off stereotypes, because obviously I wasn't there at the time. my only intention by making that post was to point out the fact that if you were to compare decades, 70s is definitely not the worst.
>>11936760
fair enough, but if you were to compare decades, 80s are definitely the best.

80s are anti-fashion heroin look - I dont like it but they at least kept it real to themselves so its kind of a romantic authnetic look.
70s are dogshit grotesques with those poop faded colours by all standards and very poseurish looking
>>11937698
>80s are anti-fashion heroin look - I dont like it but they at least kept it real to themselves so its kind of a romantic authnetic look.
my bad I was reffering to the late 80s mom jeans. early 80s at least brought smth new + fresh colours and an urbane look
Like one of the anons said in this thread, 70s fashion is pretty great for females but the men's fashion of the 1970s seems doable for me if worn in Autumn due to the earth tones of that decade.
