Yeah, all the ones i bought since then have been embroidered. The PVC ones look better in ideal conditions,

I have FOX, FOXHOUND, Diamond Dogs, Outer Heaven and Philanthropy all in embroidered patches... I cant find any cheap MSF ones that are embroider(I think theres too much detail for it to not look like a mess in the typical 3"x3" size)

I ironed a slightly larger piece of black fabric o the back of it with heat n bond and folded the edges over to the front of the patch and sewed it down.
