What this guy said
Though as someone who HAS to wear glasses; I envy you. Even properly fitted, I find them extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient after awhile. Aesthetics or not, if I could never have to wear them again, then I would drop them in a heartbeat
NNNEEEEERRRRDDDD
i had a communications professor who said, essentially, that people with glasses are subconsciously assumed to be intelligent and more believable (essentially: more authoritative), and encouraged use of glasses when giving presentations in a business or scholastic setting.
wearing glasses also allows you to take them off. which is a powerful silent expression that can signal exasperation, aggravation, grave importance, or unyielding belief.
all that said, i don't need glasses, so i don't wear them. and wearing them to manipulative affect always struck me as vaguely psychopathic. but if you're a striver/achiever, it's a very good tool to have in your kit.

Time to get myself some glasses. I love the idea of something so simple being so manipulative.

they're especially effective if you're stereotypically attractive (especially girls), as most people assume, perhaps wishfully, that there's an inverse relationship between looks and smarts. it dials back some of that bias.

Except the effect is marginal compared to the content of what you say or how retarded you look.
And those removal expressions are accomplished just as easily without it. Except for the removal to rub your eyes move which is the penultimate way to express total "I'm so done with this shit rn"

I can't tell if your srs, he puts them on to see whats been placed in front of him. He then takes them off briefly to read the time then finally removes them because they're not needed. I'm pretty sure the reasons for the glasses were very objective oriented and not emotionally driven. I've been witness to emotionally driven glasses movement and have had them and they're not that similar to this, usually the movements are slower.
If you work in IT you can consider terminal glasses. Also working in IT will fuck your sight up pretty badly
