Yes, but I wouldn't get the fluted bez. Lose versatility when going casual or changing strap material.

Most people would consider a sub more of a wear with anything rolex, but if you wear a suit to work or a dinner jacket in the evening I think they look terribly gauche.

Really depends on your lifestyle. Imo, you get the smaller datejust if you want 1 watch for the rest of your life. And you get the sub if you want people to know you wear a Rolex..

I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that no taste pleb watch.

imho, the date complication is a hassle. It seems "missing something" without it at first but a whit faced plain oyster with roman numerals is pretty nice.
