Nigga leather ain't warm. It's a great thermal conductor. A leather jacket will feel warm to the touch because you're loosing all that heat.
It cuts the wind and is somewhat abrasion resistant, that's why they wear it on motorcycle. Not because it's warm. If your denim jacket had the same lining as a leather jacket made for the winter it'd be just as warm.

If you can't spend a grand then go second-hand.

It's nice, the lining is weak tho, it's unstitching, but nothing that cannot be fixed
