>recently became poor
>couldn't afford trash bags for a while so just put trash in a leftover salad bag.

I can't afford new clothes for winter but luckily California will stay hot for a while and allow me to save. I'm also down to my last pair of shoes, and had to sew the heel back on.

>>11806534
this please.

I'm a poor college student
>>
>>11806546
jesus christ this is poverty
>>
>>11806546

I work full time and can pay all my bills usually. But the new power company wanted a $200 loan. They called it a deposit but I don't get it back for 2 years and I'm on low-income assistance. I explained that the only thing that would make me not be able to pay my bill is a $200 addition.

I was going to school but couldn't afford it after a while so I had to stop.

Yup, being poor is pretty great.

Back to fashion though, I've really learned how to extend my wardrobe and be thrifty. It was also a great opportunity to sell unwanted stuff from my closet.

In the great depression, women bought silk hoisery that they could sew back together if they tore through.

Dunno how common they are nowadays (and I think you're female because heels) but its an option.
>>
decent cheap shoes?
>>
>>11806609

Mens shoes have heels. If I was a woman I'd be camwhoring, escorting or doing porn and wouldn't be poor.

>tfw bought Helmut Lang on eBay and the seller isn't replying ;__;

At least I don't lose any money but it's a waste of time, you know? Plus I really wanted the pants. Does anyone know how good eBay is in general? I've been looking through some designer brands and the prices seem insanely cheap. Are they fake? How are they selling these at such a loss?
>>
If you are "poor", buy a sewing machine. Good fitting clothing should be a high priority.
>>
>>11807187
Find the items you want and have an agent buy them for you.

/r/fashionreps has a good guide

Nice. You seem to understand what a lot of normalfags don't which is that everyone can tell when you try to dress above your tax bracket and look all flashy.
Simple and unassuming is always better than trying too hard.

Srs just go full meme 90s core FA will call you a meme and a faggot but it will look pretty decent and better than wearing mall tier shit. I own some expensive shit but it's fun to be creative with random thrift shit and it's barely a loss and good to experiment on.
>>
>>11808311
>shoes $5
how

also do you taylor your own shit? maybe a sew machine could be a good investment
>>
>>11808300
I'm sure there are a lot of people like me that thrift or lurk a ton of online stores to get good deals on things. I recently copped Margielas for $200 (near new) and some Suicoke sandals (new) for $52. You just have to be committed and you'll find something you like at a nice price.
>>
>>11808320
Nah haven't gotten around to it yet but I'd suggest it, DIY is a great way to save. Honestly I got lucky as hell on the shoes just found em in a thrift store and they were somehow the right size. If you wanna be frugal you gotta go and look around a lot and check thrifts regularly to find new shit before it's gone. Cheers, and again, don't be afraid to experiment it'll give a little personality to what you do and will teach you what works and what doesn't.
>>
>>11808311
Shoulda spent some of the money you saved on a belt to be honest
Otherwise you've done pretty nicely (assuming that's actually you, since I've seen this pic a handful of times already)
>>
>>11808335
It is me, and my belt actually didn't fit the waist of the pants I got thinner and I need to punch a new hole into it lmaooo
>>
>>11808341
Ah iktf
I just slimmed down enough that I need to punch a new hole in my belt again
Feels breddy nice because my upper body proportions are naturally decent but I was eating like total crap for a while and started to get skinnyfat but now I'm actually seeing progress and I like how stuff fits me again (I'm >>11808278)
>>
>>11808355
Nice! Good on you man! Fits not too bad, not up to the high standard that everyone on FA holds people to (despite most users dressing like fucking morons) but everything fits you properly and you got nice colours going. Best of luck man!

One of you lucky/unfortunate fuckers who fits in this better buy it.

>>
the gramicci sale is niiiiiiiiiice
bought four pairs of pants for 120 bucks
>>
>>11808366
Thanks bruv, I appreciate it. You seem like a chill, fun guy to hang out with.
And yeah, I tend to experiment more when it's colder but I live in a craphole buttswamp area that stays 95°F til mid October so even wearing jeans is borderline dangerous.
>>
>>11808371
Those are sick, man. But is that really a 5 in US sizing? That's literally a kids shoe if so.
>>
>>11806626
I had Samba classics for over 3 years. Wore them everyday and only had to get a new pair when I lost one to the ocean. Only like $40 on amazon. Pretty good cost to durability.
>>
>>11808371
>>11808385
How are the quality on Damir Doma shoes? My friend has been getting into fashion and she's about a size 7 in womens. Would these fit well?
>>
>>11808421

No idea, but considering that Amazon has free returns, it may be worth trying them out. The siing from 5 men's should be about women's 7.

>>11808385
Yeah. It's definitely small. I check out Amazon once in a while and find some great prices on shoes. Sometimes I am lucky that they are in my size, others I am not.

I recently found some Cavalli for $150 in my size, all other sizes were $745.
>>
more cheap shoes please
>>
>>11806676
You can escort and become a whore, it is not exclusively women jobs you twat. You are probably just not attractive enough for that.
>>
>>11810190
Prices for these depends on your size, but here you go.
