The best most comfortable shoes youll ever wear are a pair of broken in deerskin mocs.

You want them slightly snug when new. They'll stretch and form fit and be comfy as fuck.

I make mocs for the family and friends all the time. Theyre also all I wear unless I need to dress up.

A size 9 for one person is a size 8 for another.

I make my mocs based off of a foot tracing to ensure proper fit.

If the moc is made just right to fit when new it will get loose and sloppy as it wears in. It needs to be snug but not tight when new.

When I make them I get a tracing to build the cut pattern. I cut the material leaving extra. Then have them come and let me wrap it up on their feet to get a feeling for where it needs to be let out and taken in to get the right fit.

I have a couple shearling pairs built kind of like that and with raw seams. But I also wear them for utilarian reasons. I wear them when hunting to stay super quiet. I've snuck up behind my old man in his blind across 2,000 feet of woods and field without him hearing a noise.
