I was travelling for about a month with a kitten on my shoulders and altho I loved the fuck out of that thing and I had some great experiences with it, it was not effay in the slightest. I came up as a weirdo to most people, which is pretty reasonable.
Also, people bother you all the time asking to pet it, asking it's name, it's gender, where did you get it and a hundred more questions.
I wouldn't advise it, specially not at the town/city you live in.

I used to have this cat named stevie wonder. He was mostly blind, completely deaf, and essentially retarded. He was super chill, but he couldn't be let outside by himself, because he couldn't be trusted not to wander into traffic. So I would take him out on walks to get him some air. Whenever it was time for the walk to end, I would pick him up and sling him over my shoulder, so I was holding his hind legs and his front legs and head were looking over my shoulder.
