I wear Vibergs mostly, but I think that Truman Boot makes a decent boot.

It's an ice pick. Swings out to the heel for traction. You can see the pin that holds it in place just behind the hinge.

I owe someone in /fa/ several beers. They advised me against getting leather sole boots so I opted for Gorrillas. Seriously one of the best decisions I've made. Not sure how /fa/, but I've worn them every day for over 11 months, and wear them to work. More comfortable than tennis shoes. Made in the US. Pic sort of related. Mine look similar but don't have the gorilla stamp.

Yeah it's doubtful you'll be able to get a boot with the full package for that. You could probably find some with stacked commando soles, a suede upper, or trench styling, but not all three.

Oak Street Bootmakers has a similar suede trench boot but it's $468 with a dainite sole:

Well, im another anon that was eyeing the Chippewa boot. So about the same as that, 130-50$ with something good enough to last through the slogging.
>>
>>11700646
Yeah at that price you're not really going to be able to get both form and function. The problem is the only real dress leather that stands up to snow is shell cordovan, which will run you like 6x your budget.

There are some decent Chippewa/Wolverine models in the 200-300 range that would be somewhat versatile but would still look out of place in a business formal ensemble

About 2 weeks of snow in a year, but it also rains a lot. I was wondering if I could pick up something that would look decent enough with slacks, but also be able to function better than my derbies if I were to accidentally step into what I thought was a puddle was actually the marinara trench.
>>
>>11700794
There's not really a perfect boot for rain—I would advise against leather soles though. Go for plain rubber or commando/lug soles, depending on the silhouette

You can get water repellent spray/wax treatments if you want but they might fuck with the leather

w2c boots similar to Ann D but for lower price? Really can't justify spending $400~ on any piece of clothing with my current financial situation
>>
>>11706181
Aesthetically they look pretty good. Not sure about quality though
>>
>>11706185
Look on grailed and ebay for used pieces. You're not going to find a 12" real suede boot for under $300-$400 new
>>
>>11706181
Oi!
>>
>>11706222
Those boots are high quality

Sure you need to add some balsam every now and then but they'll last long

Durability is not the same thing as quality

What do y'all think?
>>

Solovair is a step up from Docs but I personally haven't much of an opinion on this pair of boot. I've handled other pairs but never worn the brand and personally I don't think there's much to say about the appearance of this model.

Do you sell used cars?

This
>>

They are good shoes, but you have to take into account the circlejerk around them, they are a meme, with all the 'made in england' 'good quality''everlasting'. At the end of the day, they are just boots that will last you 3-4 years like any Doc that ever existed
>>
>>11700403

What are these?
>>
>>11709962
>>11709874
Definitely not under any impressions that they are a "buy it for life" item. just looking for something thats low profile, relatively cheap, and can be worn with jeans or chinos. Thanks for the (you)'s!

I am looking for boots similar to these, because these are sold out everywhere and a bit too expensive. Id prefer them to be under 100$

>>
>>11710474

>>
>>11710425
Let me just say that you get what you pay for. These: >>11710450 are not a chukka boot.
>>
hey guys what kind of boots can i get to go with normie chinos and shirt for work? I work with chemicals so they need to be somewhat resilient without being super bulky.

Cheers

Y/N?

You'll want chemical resistant boots specifically for the job. I'm sure they're not going to be attractive and should be made of rubber. You'd be stupid to wear anything else.

how bout these rothcos in sub for sfb?
>>
>>11710513
Don't see why not. What's the make? Probably Red Wing, right? Those are decent. You get em you'll want to purchase shoe care product alongside as well.
>>
>>11710519
the chemicals are mostly pretty mild desu and small quantities as well. Any boots that wouldn't look bad with a drop of acid on them, that kind of thing
>>
>>11710525
My advice is to never skimp when spending on footwear. Footwear, mattresses and anything else that protects you from the ground. If you reach old age you'll thank yourself.
>>
>>11710540
Personally, as it's for work, I wouldn't spend too much money. If you need something slip resistant I'd just get something from Shoes for Crews. If you're a picky mother fucker and can't be putting your feet in a cheap split grain leather shoe like I'd just grab some chukkas by Clark's which wouldn't break the bank either nor likely be ruined if you dribbled on them.
