They are cheap and p good as beaters. You should get leather ones, those last a really long time. I've had the Xtuff leather ones from when they were released and they still aren't fucked too bad.

These shoes are classics cant ever knock them. They usually go for around $60 where I live.
Good enough to last you a while and price is low enough to not have to worry about messing them up.
Ive seen better built sk8-hi's at the vans store. Is supposed to be better quality and has extra padding
