How do you soften your beard? I'm at the third month of growing and the texture is like pubes mixed with nails. I tried using conditioner I use on my hair but no results here.

You don't use your hair products on your beard you stupid fuck
It will dry your face skin

i find that any beard oils just make my hair look very shiny
maybe try applying beard oil and leaving it in for a bit, then washing out
otherwise i just use cheap skin moisturiser
Get some beard oil. Definitely helps your beard soften up and look healthier. They tend to smell pretty awesome, too.
I'm on my 4th month. I started using a beard oil and a beard balm daily about the second month. Then I bought a conditioner through Scotch Porter that works really well with my beard wash.
Honestly a beard balm and conditioner is gonna be your best bet.

beard oil and conditioner
I don't think Varg is using all the gay stuffs you're speaking about like beard oil ect ...
Beard should just stay natural, you don't need to wash it with shampoo or whatever.
Since a lot of men grow a beard the industry is trying to sell new product to make money.
If you can't simply grow a nice and soft beard then shave it, no big deal.
Beard oil is good for you. You can get a commercial brand or make it yourself. Literally any carrier oil (look it up) on it's own can be used as a beard oil. I personally like blending coconut oil and jojoba with a few drops of cedar and cinnamon essential oil for the aroma.
If your beard is curly/kinky a beard balm is the way to go. It's pretty much beard oil, but with a little more hold. 1 part beeswax, 2 parts butter (cocoa butter or another butter used in cosmetics, look it up), 3 parts carrier oil.
Dump all the stuff in a tin container, then put it in a pan with enough water to float the tin. Put on low heat so everything liquefies, then mix it with a toothpick or something. When it's liquefied you can put essential oils for a desired aroma. You can also use beard balm on your hair for a bit of light styling.
a beard is supposed to be soft? I've never heard of that

Have had a beard for the past year. My tips:
Dont wash everyday. Just wet it in the shower real good.
I only wash it once every 4 days or so.
Everyday however i rub in some leave-in conditioner as soon as i get out the shower.
Beard oils are cool. I only use mine on special occasions.
When i use beard oil, i rub it in, then add in my usual leave in conditoner afterwards.
Comb + brush it regularly. Keep it neat and trim. Line it up nicely.
