nothing, fashion-wise. people on this board just dislike popular things because they think they're part of a subculture on here so they're the judge jury and executioner of fashion if someone has "normal" tastes

but anyway, superstars have a shaped insole(is that the right term?) so your feet wont be as level with the board as most people would like, and it might throw your balance off when doing tricks.

Also, the stitching is directly along the line that would be in contact with your griptape, and they start fraying immediately.

unless you're longboarding/cruising, these aren't really good skate shoes
