Is it just me or does anybody else just really dislike monochrome shoes (shoes that are all or mostly the same color)? Especially white converse, I hate them so much with a passion. I'm not really sure why but monochrome just looks so ugly, especially from a distance. When I wear all black vans I feel like i'm wearing black dress shoes

those chucks aren't monochrome and you couldn't even find any reason for your distaste.
if your outfit would demand black dress shoes but you opt for black sneakers that's just you dressing badly.

Yeah. Thats why 90% of the time I'm buying the gum shoes

chucks with gumsole would look strange.
gumsole is associated with old indoor sport shoes. r/mfa loves it for some reason tho.

Monochrome shoes, from a distance, do an injustice to the shoe. For instance: if somebody was to be wearing black monochrome shoes and you saw them from a distance, you couldn't necessarily be able to make out what shoes they are. Are they vans? converse? Adidas? running shoes? or any other sneaker of the same silhouette

>I need people to see what brand of shoe i'm wearing instead of being concerned about overall look
Yeah go ahead and leave now, buddy
>>11581132
That's why the silhouette is so important.

the function of shoes isn't to be visible from as far apart as possible.

exactly.
grown-ups wear basically all the same monochrome dress shoes with only slightly different details.
