I have to swim daily for work, twice a day at least and sometimes more. We can't wet our hair beforehand, we can't shower or rinse our hair until after we're home, sometimes a few hours later. Wearing it up won't stop it getting wet, and swimming caps aren't an option because we have a dress code.
I wash/condition my hair and even use argan oil after I get home. It helps some, but not nearly enough. My hair looks normal but feels really dry, like straw and sticky on top of that.

shave your head.

Put some leave in conditioner after you get out of the pool
I have a friend who swims before a morning lecture at uni and he uses a spray on shampoo
I got a bit of a similar problem, except I don't swim. My roots get oily and my tips dry really fast (like on the next day after washing). Also they dont don't have much volume. What do why live?
Are there other solutions than washing it every day?
Picrelated my hair after a night in a bun.

can't see hair very well with your shirt on, blends too much
I swim every day cause I'm a competitive swimmer so I have to wash my hair every day, my suggestion is to use very minimal amount of shampoo(after all your hair should be pretty clean) and then some leave-in conditioner, both aimed at nourishing your hairs
Sadly they will never be as good as when you wash them every other day/ every three day, but that's the best I and my barber could come up with

>washing it every day?
>oily
>dry
you can't wash your hair daily and expect this to not happen
cut back to washing every 4-7 days

I have the same problem, i put coconut/argon oil and i only shampoo 2 twice a week and when i go swimming its worst it gets all frizzy from the top and feels horrible. Idk what to do i think i might just cut it all off.

make sure you massage shampoo into your scalp and not your ends, as this will dry them out; then vice versa with conditioner and leave it on for about 5 minutes. also i'd recommend only washing every other day and using dry shampoo if you think your hair is getting really gross in between washes. that's what i do and my hair is godly soft now <3
also let it air dry as much as possible; or if you do blow-dry it, focus on your scalp rather than your ends to prevent frizz and dryness
i wouldn't worry about volume, love your hair how it is and embrace it; it looks healthy enough so don't be using much heat on it
