I'm thinking about getting a tattoo with mountains, the ocean, forest and the moon. All four mean something to me, but I'm not sure how to do it. Considered a mountain deteriorating into waves, with the moon in the background. Is that stupid? It doesn't include the trees/forest part either, which is important. Maybe outlines of different animals with those things filling the spaces? Something to connect them?

I'm also considering getting a tattoo of my wifes eyes. She passed away some years ago, and she had beautiful eyes.

Do you think something like that would work as a sleeve? I didn't really want a landscape because they're mostly symbolic, but maybe it could work. The mountain deteriorating into a wave thing is because waves are the mountains of the ocean, and are in that sense the same thing, but are symbolically opposites-permanence and transience. Maybe that is pretentious, but my wife was all about "going with the flow" and I was the opposite.
