I think we're going to see a lot more of a "throwback" to this type of fit and also to these bright colorways. I think the fits will be looser than they are now, but they won't reach the extremes they've gotten to in the past.

Personally, i'd like to see this combined with a more trad/ivy look (might be possible if a counter-culture arises against the seemingly hyper-progressive stance of the first world youth).

On the more 'mainstream streetwear' side of things, i think we'll continue in the technical/sportswear direction it is heading, but with the ironic kanji prints being replaced with abstract/geometric prints on top of 'bland' colors (black/white/grey).

It's not really a matter of what the lowest common denominator is wearing. As time passes more and more people will wear different things, especially with how the internet keeps things around.

That being said I think it's foolish to think that skinny jeans will ever be completely phased out, because it really just depends on the silhouette of the outfit you're going for.

At this point I feel like it's just what the outfit demands, rather than particular pieces of clothing being trendy entire outfits are (which is something that's existed for a long time.)
