Oxford shirts are like this, notice the rougher, thicker, less crisp fabric.

The button down collar is usually a good casual indicator but not always, you get formal shirts with it and casual shirts without it. Like I said earlier, collar stiffness is a pretty good rule of thumb, along with how smooth and crisp the fabric is.

Long johns tend to be thicker than tights, so under skinny jeans tights might be more appropriate. Can't say if either of them will fit under skinny jeans fine though - in the winter I think you'd be better off just wearing thicker jeans and/or long, thick socks.

Oxfords aren't casual. You either wear them with trousers for a less formal business meeting, or with a pair of dark jeans for a nice night out with your girl.

Before I started dressing well I was a tatted up biker, so my arms are covered in ink. My usual daily attire is a linen/cotton button down, with chinos or dockers. Keeps my tattoos all covered up, I look better dressed than 95% of men walking around, and I feel good.

Are you sure you know what real suede boots look like? And feel like?

Of course suede can be worn through snow and puddles, but needs to be water proofed before hand. And cleaned after getting wet, dirty, etc.

imo, h&m has shit, fuccboi designs unless you're getting extreme basics like tees. AA's not bad, but their quality hasn't held up for me. The problem I've come to see if that they only sell 34 length for everything but jeans, and then its only 32 and 34.

The reality is a LOT of a people have an inseam around 28-30 and so always need to be altered. When you go from a 34 to a 28, the shape gets all fucked up and then they need to be tapered.

Source: Alterations staff at UNIQLO. If you ask and we have time, we'll probably taper it for you. Most of the staff are just people using a sewing machine, but a bunch are fashion design students or just have sewing experience. But it's not officially offered so you can't guarantee it.

Not sure about fit comparisons, but Norse Projects makes a pretty nice chino. Aros Slims are pretty much all I wear and after the first few wears/after breaking them in they're super comfy.

Really depends on how you wear them and what their fit is like. Retail khakis tend to be regular/straight cut so as to maintain a "uniform" appearance for all employees.
Realistically you could wear slim khaki chinos with a nice brown leather non-chukka boot, and like a light blue button down shirt and not look like a retail employee. I'd have to see the pants in question to offer anything else though.
