the old omega watches are so beautiful for some reason

i inherited one of these from my grandpa and have ever since been looking for the perfect omega wristwatch form the 50-70s

GFs father was throwing away a bag (literal garbadge bag) of watches today. currently going through them. its a junker but I like the bold numbers and the flex band.

Its a late 60s Glashutte GUB Spezimatic cal. 74. Probably the most horologically significant watch you can buy for under 400- this one is well worn and it was only 150 in an ebay auction

had a pre-ww2 Vetta watch that my brother in laws grandfather stripped off a dead German at Monte Casino.

cant find an exact pic of it but it was very similar to pic related.

ended up selling it to a rare/vintage watch store in Lititz PA.

went back a few months after and he was selling it for 4x the amount he bought it from me for

ebay, you can find literal hundreds of '50s and '60s watches, most of them for pretty cheap too.
