So what do you guys wear out? I find it hard to dress for going out solely bc it's usually very different to my usual style although this depends a lot on the venue.
Pick related isn't me but v similar to my go to, but I'm more interested in what other people wear
>>
All black, comfy shoes for dancing.

It's mostly techno though.

Yea sweet I'm similar then. What sorta electronic do u mostly listen to?
>>
Black long sleeve from lemaire
Black suit pants from Marni
Grey nubuck cps which miraculously clean up fairly well even when they get miscellaneous black residue from the dance floor on them
Navy coat if it's cold
>>
>>11365452
Wearing nubuck out is wild brave, impressive they've survived so well. Any shoe I wear seems to get trashed no matter what
>>
>>11365449
House and Techno, Psytrance if there's a good event, going to a party in a WW2 bunker by the sea next time. Not sure what I'll wear.
>>
everyonr in my city dress like this for club
i tried going with a striped fear of god tshrt, pants like >>11365449 and chelsea boots. and tey didnt allowed me to enter because i wasnt wearing a shirt like pic related ...
then they let me in bc knowing owner of the club
fuck my city
>>
>>11365481
Ay same here. Which city you in? And gotta wear a bomber jacket for posterity's sake if its at a bunker
>>
>>11365461
Yeah it's definitely more durable than suede, but whenever they get dirty I just rub the stain in with a bit of water then go over it with a suede eraser when it's near dry, it does make the grain slightly looser and they get a tad bit darker than other areas but ultimately it isn't noticeable, they are still in good condition for a pair of beaters
This is even after long 12 hour steamy techno sessions aswell
>>
>>11365486
Fuck that, the striped tee would've looked smarter than a open collar shirt anyway haha
>>
>>11365486
should've told them your tee costs more than everyone's shirt combined
>>
>>11365486
yikes
i just weat a light tee, comfy pants and sneakers
its all about comfy when dancing breh. fuck dressing up

Yeah a bomber would be p cool, there's probably going to be UV lights so maybe something that will take advantage of that.

I barely go clubbing in my home country, I usually drive or fly to Berlin for a few days because -yeah I'm going to sound like a snob- that's just the place to be to go clubbing

pic related would be outfit of choice, black on black and beater shoes

>>11365434

its a club man, if you're going to impress girls you're going to a) shit club or b) wrong reason.

I wear stuff that i dont mind will get destroyed, and yeah, it gets destroyed.

i wear van old skools. uncomfy but meh, naked n famous raws i bought when i was 16 4 years ago, and some uniqlo sweater that will be taken off once i start dancing anyway.

i go for the venue etc. i've worn designer to the club, and its not fun having drinks spilled, sweat, tearing from dancing.

yeah dressing good feels good. but ruining something you love feels worse.

Ditch that shirt. Get a cool graphic tee and a blazer that you can roll the sleeves up comfortably. Little gel in your hair and slicking it back will have ladies placing you as a slick bad boy. Dirty, dirty girls will be imaging the sight of you from their knees. Never bring her a drink, but if you must get next to the bar across from her and let the bartender point you out. Have a drink in hand before you order hers and signal a toast. A sly smile and slamming it down before going to the dance floor makes her more inclined to grind up next to you. At least that works for me.

From what I've seen in pictures, clubbers keep it pretty casual in Tokyo, you should be fine with jeans, a T shirt and sneakers, but isn't that the dress code all over the world, unless you're going to some psytrance rave in the Highlands?

Keeping it simple desu.

Usually go clubbing in my Stans.

Either short or longsleeve tee, plain. Often tuck that shit in. Sometimes one of those AA baseball tees. Sometimes a very light knit that won't make me sweat like a pig.

Black slim-skinnies or black woolen pants. Black white or grey socks.

Usually go to clubs where they play hip-hop or soulection/hw&w kinda stuff.

I live in a considerably large city, less than a million people in city limits but big enough for 3 major league sports teams. there are maybe a few clubs, one or two very tiny ones in the main bar area and possibly a few out in a shady that i don't hang around. so basically no real nightlife. just one hipster neighborhood with a bunch of bars.

>>
>>11371727
How do I find a good one?
What kind of cities have good ones?
>>
>>11371727
I never understood how, though. What do you actually do in a club in order to enjoy yourself, and why wouldn't I go to a comfy bar instead?

Concerts in bar restaurants are usually similar experiences but with usually better music and a less degenerate crowd.

Either that or I've never seen a good club, which sounds plausible considering I haven't considered the possibility of one's existence.
>>
>>11371725
Nice shirt, w2c?
>>
>>11371743
I don't really care for drinking in a pub/bar comfortably. I like being around people and I'm usually there every weekend so I run into people I've seen before. From there we usually buy each other drinks and dance. By the end of the night I'm either trying to get with a girl or I'm with a group of people getting drunk.
>>
>>11365434
>So what do you guys wear out?

It entirely depends on the club. If it's a chic club where I will stand around, then designer sneakers, and a designer shirt. If I go to dance, then cheaper (black) sneakers.

If it's a techno club, then converse and a t-shirt. If it's a festival, then shorts and tank top.

lmao found the elitist faggot, pro-tip: you can still enjoy comfy bars and clubbing without sounding like a complete faggot

Find a club that fits your music genre, go dance and hit on some grills, pop some x to get going again by 6 in the morn, and then try and not fall asleep on the subway home.
It's all about the venue honestly, certain places attract certain people.
>>11365486, is an example of a club you wouldn't want to go to.

Try and find some parties hosted in old industrial buildings, preferably techno music, those tend to be absolute fire.

iktf

i tried to wear my roshes with my adidas track suit pants and a tucked in white t-shirt with a turtle neck and the gabber kept saying no trainers

and i kept tryna act tough , like i was a dealer (not a dealer only had a small baggie of weed on me but wanted him to think i was a dealer to let me in)
and he said lemme inspect that and i thought it was like he takes commission and lets me deal, at this point i was like may as well deal this .7g of weed so i can get more money for weed
and he takes the baggie and says "no trainers no drugs"

fuck i hate clubs.

nah how dare he not let me in ebcause no trainers i can come in with CP derbie prestine golds if i want to with the cotton mill cropped trousers and the tucked in nylon shirt with the cashmere scarf and the backwards neon cap to balance it out with a hip vibe but i keeps it simple.

fuck him and dealers run those palces without dealers whod' even been dancing yeah? i probably shoulda said it was spice or laced with pcp or something cuz clubs only like hard drugs anyway drinking and smoking weed is for pussies in there eyes.

im gonna go back there but with some MSG in those drug dealer bags, it hink they're called baggies, and say i've moved on to ketamine. or avoid the club....

kinda pissed though, spent a lot of money on that 1 gram...

"Hipster neighborhoods" are to cities as McDonalds are to highway rest stops. When you see one you've seen them all. At this point they're basically just manifestations of certain popular blogging sites *COUGHS LOUDLY* in non-cyberspace.

It's kind of sad how the distinctions between individual cities are becoming less apparent when you're in the wealthy areas where people have a lot of free time and stable Internet connections. On the other hand, I'm really just being overly sentimental and it's good that the world is becoming more homogenous, especially at a time when extreme individuality is relatively easy to implement depending on how you look at it.

Interesting times we live in.

>>11371725
Insincerity is a bad look.
>>
>>11371743
Well first of all I like the music. House and techno are what I listen to anyway, but going to see a top notch DJ play at a club with a good sound system and crowd is a unique experience. I think the best way to describe it is that everyone is in one room and listening to the same song at the same time, feeling the same thing at the same time, it's like one huge glob of sympathy, and you end up sort of developing these little micro relationships with everyone around you. You really do just forget about everything else for a while. It's just you and all these people getting along and enjoying some music together. It's a very expressive and intuitive thing, like going to church. It's pretty much just a cheap religious experience.

I think that's why most clubbers are young, it does end up seeming kind of hollow after a while, but it's good to know that it's always there when you need it again.
>>
>>11373100
Kind of seems like the city is past it's prime in terms of a lot of things, not just house or techno. That's life I guess and there's still plenty left in the city but it really makes you think.

good clubs in melbourne in no particular order. sometimes they're shit depending on the crew hosting the night:

>revolver
>New guernica
>brown alley
>railway hotel brunswick
>the mercat
>the gasometer
>boney
among others
the best parties in melbourne are the house party circuit in the north and the warehouse parties anyway. i can add you on facebook if you want i guess

I think though that in a few years of maybe a decade, something beautiful and creative will come out of Chicago, and that's kind of happening right now. Some of the rappers coming out of Chicago are the best in the world. Chicago is just kind of a hip hop city and not a techno or house city at this point. That's just how it goes. I fuck with the hip hop stuff though so it's cool with me.

One thing I've noticed in my time here is that all the art school kids fuck with techno and a lot of the gay guys fuck with house. I don't think clubbing is going to die off in Chicago ever. I went to KiNK at smartbar a few weeks ago and there were hundreds of people there, all the way from normies to club kids. I think it's really a myth that the "scene" was ever huge here. House music began as the soundtrack for the weekends of gay black men ... it still lives on in the shadows and alleys, but that's where it's always been for the most part. It wasn't until ca. 2011 that "EDM" thrust itself into the Top 40. Aside from some crossover tracks in the 90's and 00's it was always underground music. All I'm trying to say is that being underground doesn't mean dead or dying, and features on Vice or Fader are always misrepresenting the ways things really are.
>>
>>11377464
Footwork/Juke/Ghetto house are all chicago inventions too and they've never really died out, in fact footwork has been spreading around a lot more recently.
>>
>>11378016
Closest I've come to going to a juke party was when I saw Chrissy McMurderface before Kreayshawn in 2011 at Bottom Lounge.

Go to Cosmin TRG at smartbar this Friday. Look for the guy wearing 100% Rick.

>most pop punk state in existence
>Pretty much never club, just go to DIY/Basement shows + Death Grips concert when that's close
>dress as close as I can to SLP 2013 f/w while being a student
>Seems legit

Also I see people like pic related at basement shows sometimes and I love their confusion so much

They all do. The bouncers at smartbar are pretty good at checking IDs. I'm a few years over the drinking age but I look like I'm in high school. The bouncer looked at my ID then at me, then he was shining the light at it from all these angles and rubbing it in weird ways. If you have a good ID you're straight though.

Furthest thing from it. All the tech jobs have led to too many men. The women they spaghetti over are all 4/10, 5/10. Wouldn't live in Seattle for anything, only reason to be there is on a lay over flight from Chicago or Minneapolis while you're headed to Hawaii desu senpai

I wear some slim fit khakis, a button-down of varying colors and patterns, and cole haans myself :^)

Sometimes I'll dress up and wear a jacket, depends on the club and people I'm with.
>>
>>11380461
I actually agree. I was dragged to different clubs and mostly it's just teens and 20's on pills dancing to shitty techno. It is superficial entertainment and club owners make millions off it.
>>
I have never visited a club

>>11381993

just go alone and take the subway back, you can meet people there.
>>
>>11382020
If you are dressed well and don't smell bad and have a good time, you will make friends. I went to the club literally hours after I moved to The Big City (TM) (C) and stayed until the sun came up. I made friends with like 5 different people. You develop a sense of bond and community just from dancing with people. It's kind of like talking without words. It's easy to tell how people feel about you just be how they move around you and how they look at you (assuming you don't literally have autism). Based on that it's natural to strike up a conversation if you're both interested in each other. It's also really easy to tell who actually is enjoying the music and who is just trying to get laid or impress people.

You look like an absolute disgusting nu-male piece of anglo garbage, with more of daddy's money than sense. You're obviously not very old, but you will look back on this picture the same way one does their middle school emo phase in a few years.
