Yes I had a friend who has this hair cut except the back like tapered higher than what you have. I think letting the back grow out is meant for people who have weird bad head shapes but I think you have the head for it since the back doesn't really add much.

I am growing my hair out for the first time in my life. Currently the top is much longer and comes down to just past my mouth. It is very fine straight and thick. I am trying to style it so it doesn't constantly fall in my face. I have wax cream and pomades but anything use it falls in my face after an hour or two. I have a blow dryer which slightly helps but it still sucks. Is there anything I can do to keep it out or am I just in that awkward stage and should use hats?

I've known him for over 10 years. Had a hernia lifting something last year. Went back to work too soon and the surgical mesh broke and caused permanent nerve damage.

Visits after that were tough. It was obvious that he was in a huge amount of pain and would tell me how much he was hurting just standing at his chair.

He had multiple surgeries to try and fix it. I last saw him a few weeks ago after his third. Said he felt a bit better but all the surgeries have been rough on him. Rounded the $16 cut up to $20 as usual, shook his hand and wished him good luck.

/fa/ i need help

I have a standard HY undercut, but my hair is too soft, healthy and incredibly straight to do anything with. I've literally had my barber tell me that my hair is "almost too healthy". My hair texture is literally beatles tier (pic related) and this prevents me from doing anything of significance because all the product I use just can't style my hair, it's not strong enough.

I was washing my hair almost every day, but I've since stopped this because I figure if my hair gets slightly shittier then I can do more with it, since it will be lighter and easier to work with. I've tried getting my barber to thin out my hair, it still doesn't work.


I want to add volume to my hair but nothing I try works.

Current product I'm using is American Crew Fibre, which has been okay but I'm still not getting the results I want.

I would go for a different haircut, but my hair is just too straight for it. It flops down like pic related. It's gross and I hate it.

The main thing I would suggest is to start parting your hair on the side. Don't do it when it's dry, though, since that might damage it.

When you get out of the shower, comb all of your hair backwards gently and shake your head a bit. Your natural part should fall into place a little and you just continue it straight backwards.

I'm not sure exactly where to look for styling tutorials and tips since I'm a girl and you don't seem to be going for that look. In general, I would learn to braid if you can't already. It looks much neater than long hair left down and looks better than man buns imo.

Also, your hair looks a little frizzy to me (might be the picture since it's in full sun). The solution is to take colder showers and use conditioner.

Personally I think that braided ponytails (where you tie the hair at the roots and the end) look a bit more 'athletic' than professional. In most standard braids you only tie at the end, and they can go backwards or to the side like pic related.

You can also learn to do different kinds of braids, like french braids, dutch braids, 4-strand braids, etc. if you feel like it suits you after trying it.

The most important thing is to make sure all the pieces are the same width at the start and that you braid in the direction you want the hair to fall. So if you're trying to have it go backwards, you can't put it over one shoulder to do it. It's easiest to start with a side braid so you can see what you're doing in the mirror better. Once you know how to do it properly, you can do it by touch and get a really nice and even backwards braid.
