Yeah you could even paint the doors with spraypaint. It's so easy and literally takes like 60 seconds per side, 30 min to dry. Boom, instant pop of color. I've seen some warehouses that look like that in the bridgeport area from the outside but I haven't really checked if they're residential/livable. I mean, if you've been out to bp's archer ballrooms, they're basically living in that kind of deal though I've no idea what rent they're paying or if it's even officially residential. 2bh I'd fucking love a warehouse space like that but idk know anyone who'd be down to split it with me, I'm not from the city, my friends here are normals.

west pilsen has some nice studio spaces but a little overpriced, all run by one real estate company. I forget the name, it's polish sounding, blue and orange logo. they like own a monopoly of that entire side of the neighborhood

i have no fucking clue why you would ever want to live in chinatown, parts of bridgeport are bad enough with all the chinese. trust me, they are not people you want as neighbors. i used to live in south loop too, on state and 15th, it was a shitty neighborhood. nothing to do and everyone was boring. now i live on the west side on western and harrison and it's much better

I like pilsen a lot. i'd also kill for a warehouse / loft set up but haven't found anything affordable scouring craigslist. at some point some guy on CL was posting about putting together a live/work space in bucktown or something but it disappeared. never heard of the archer ballrooms; I'll have to check that out.

why? I like chinatown a lot more than the pilsen area though I haven't been out there much. chinese are cleaner and friendlier than mexicans, the food's still cheap, good and open late, and I'd rather take chinese who mind their own business over vapid art cunts; little illegal apartment dives over overpriced yuppie draft/cocktail bars.
